We gather at 10:30am , for an 11am start, on the terrace at Monachyle Mhor overlooking Lochs Voil and Doine, with oysters and Champagne. We walk a mile along the glen road to the fairy pools, with more delicious food and drink pairings. From there we walk to the Monachyle lifting stone, the original expression of strength since the 1700’s and where couples choose to get married. We head to the bottom meadow to our mirrored box, listed in Conde Nast Traveller as one of the 10 best views in the world. You’ll sip, indulge and drink in the breathtaking views. We then head to the Dutch Barn where we sit by the warmth of the fire and enjoy our final two courses.

Life at Mhor Farm Tour

Our Mhor wine safaris are becoming legendary across Scotland. It’s all about having a fabulous wine tasting experience day, where we walk along Balquhidder glen, stopping along the way to drink and eat, fuelling the rest of the stroll up to Monachyle Mhor hotel.

You’ll meet us at Mhor 84 for breakfast with a glass of something special and then we’ll take a two-mile stroll up to Creag an Tuirc – once the gathering spot for clan MacLaren – for the best views in Balquhidder. We’ll rest a while there and have an outdoor food demonstration and wine pairing. It’s all about discovering the delights of food and wine in the great outdoors.

Walking on for a further two miles to the shoreline of Loch Voil, we’ll indulge in another pick-me-up and delicious delight to eat. This is a fun food, wine pairing and tasting experience with a difference and loved by all who have done it.

After the final two miles we gather in the Dutch Barn at Monachyle Mhor, fires lit, for a hearty Perthshire produce lunch, a little more wine and the perfect opportunity to buy the wine you have tasted. After your Scottish food and wine tasting and pairing safari experience, we have arranged transport back up Balquhidder glen to Mhor 84 from Monachyle Mhor for you.
